The Version 1.4.4 release introduces improvements across toolpath control, feature recognition, tool library uploads, and Siemens NX platform support—bringing more precision to setup decisions and greater flexibility in how CNC workflows are executed. 


A Closer Look at What’s New in This Release


1. Intelligent Toolpath Control & Setup Optimization 


1.1 Selective Toolpath Generation for Specific Setups


  • Generate toolpaths only for the setups you choose directly from the Final Summary screen, instead of running all setups by default 

  • This gives you precise control in multi-setup parts, reduces unnecessary computation, and speeds up iteration when working on specific setups 


1.2 Bulk Reordering of Operations within Setup


  • Users can reorder multiple operations within a setup in a single action, eliminating the need to move them individually on the Manufacturing Process screen 

  • This makes it faster to organize complex machining sequences while maintaining a valid and consistent execution order 


2. Enhancements in Feature Recognition Workflow


2.1 Sub-Feature Type Switching for Geometry-Based Features


  • For features created using geometry-based selection (MFD), switch between sub-feature types (e.g. taper hole, thread hole or simple hole) without redefining geometry 

  • Existing geometry is retained, and relevant inputs are auto populated, allowing quick changes to feature intent without rework 

  • This makes feature editing faster, more flexible, and reduces manual effort while maintaining reliability 


2.2 Reduced Noise in Feature Detection

  • Engraving geometries are no longer identified as faces during feature recognition, preventing incorrect feature creation 

  • This results in a cleaner feature list, reduces manual cleanup, and improves overall recognition accuracy 


3. More Reliable Tool Library Uploads


3.1 Robust Tool Type Validation

  • Tool types are now validated independent of text casing during tool library uploads in the Admin Panel, ensuring consistent recognition across varying formats 

  • This eliminates failures caused by case-sensitive inputs, improving upload reliability, and reducing manual correction effort 


4. Expanded Platform Support 


4.1 GP Plugin Compatibility with NX 2306 

  • The Generative Programming Plugin is now compatible with NX 2306, enabling seamless operation within the latest supported CAM environment 

  • This ensures stable, up-to-date integration and allows users to continue their workflows without compatibility issues
