Version 1.4.6 of Lambda Function’s AI-assisted CNC programming solution introduces enhancements focused on improving feature definition, workflow guidance, and feature interpretation across the programming process in Siemens NX.
Key Updates in Our AI-Assisted CNC Programming Software
1. Enhanced Control & Flexibility: Define Grooves Directly from the Model
Users can now directly select and highlight the grooves on the model and transfer them to Generative Programming (GP), making feature identification more intuitive and flexible beyond automatic recognition.
Once the groove geometry is selected in Siemens NX, GP automatically extracts key dimensions and populates the required inputs in the user interface (UI).
This makes feature identification more intuitive, especially for complex or partially recognized geometries
2. Guided Workflows & Error Transparency: Clear Strategy Recommendations with Actionable Guidance
The Machining Strategy screen ensures you always have clarity and next steps when strategies are not recommended.
Depending on the scenario, the system:
Explains why strategies are unavailable
Suggests corrective actions
Allows fallback via Add Strategy option
This removes ambiguity and helps you proceed without delays in your workflow.
3. Improved Feature Understanding & Visual Consistency: Feature Inputs & Definitions
On the feature recognition screen, feature input images and definitions for key features have been refined for better clarity and consistency.
With more consistent visuals and better readability, it’s now simpler to interpret features and validate your machining inputs with confidence.
These updates bring faster and more flexible feature definition, clearer workflow guidance, improved transparency in strategy recommendations, and easier feature interpretation through refined visuals and definitions.
