1. Smarter Feature Recognition & Management 


1.1  Improved Feature Deletion 


  • Feature management is now more seamless and reliable across Generative Programming and NX for the following features  

    • Faces 

    • Pockets 

    • Grooves 

  • When you delete a feature from the Feature Recognition screen, it is automatically removed from NX as well, ensuring your feature list stays up to date and eliminating the need for manual cleanup across systems.


1.2 Enhanced Pocket Recognition with Island Support


  • Manual Feature Definition now supports recognition of islands within pocket features. 

  • When defining pockets that contain internal islands, the system automatically identifies and associates island geometry with the parent pocket. 

  • Dimensions selected for a specific island are correctly linked to that island, ensuring more accurate feature definition for complex pocket geometries.


1.3 Intelligent Automatic Feature Grouping


  • After Automatic Feature Recognition Lambda Intelligence now automatically groups features into logical machining groups based on their geometry and machining requirements. 

  • This minimizes manual grouping, reduces setup complexity, and helps streamline downstream machining operations. 


2. Guided Workflows & Error Transparency


2.1 Intelligent Guidance for Deburring Setup 


  • The Deburring workflows now provide clearer guidance and more intuitive next steps whenever recommendations are unavailable, helping you quickly understand the issue and choose the next best action 

  • Users are now informed with contextual messages and next actions. Depending on the situation:  

    • Users can retry recommendations 

    • Review inputs 

    • Report issues 

    • Manually add tools and parameter values directly within the workflow 

  • This makes the recommendation experience more intuitive and actionable, enabling users to stay productive and move forward confidently when recommendations are unavailable
